Each package contains the board, mounting hardware, a set of steel-tip darts, and a detailed instruction manual. The mounting template makes wall installation straightforward, and all necessary screws and anchors are provided.
The recommended setup requires at least 8 feet of ceiling height and 5 feet of open space on either side of the board. This allows for comfortable throwing distance and prevents damage to surrounding furniture or walls.
While the construction is durable, outdoor use isn’t recommended for extended periods. Moisture and temperature changes can affect the board’s materials and reduce its lifespan. Brief outdoor use during parties is fine, but indoor storage is best.
This board is designed specifically for steel-tip darts. The sisal fiber construction provides the self-healing properties needed for steel points. Soft-tip darts won’t penetrate properly and may not score accurately.
Rotating the board every few weeks helps ensure even wear across all scoring areas. Simply remove it from the wall, turn it slightly so heavily-used sections move to less-targeted spots, then remount. This significantly extends the board’s playing life.
Bounce-outs typically indicate the board needs rotation or the darts need sharpening. Check that darts have sharp, clean points and aren’t bent. If the problem persists in specific areas, those sections may be worn and benefit from the board being rotated to redistribute wear patterns.
